Couldn't get lab to work. SSH into vm instances would not work. After troubleshooting a bit, was able to figure out that the VM instances don't have a service account associated with them. After shutting down the VMs, adding the GCE default service account and restarting, I was able to SSH and complete the lab.

Every attempt to ssh connect to server-2 gives this: Connection Failed An error occurred while communicating with the SSH server. Check the server and the network configuration.
