Not the fault of the lab per say, stack driver was much slower than the docs suggested. Dashboards were 4-5 minutes behind. It took nearly 10 minutes for the uptime check to show up. Even the alert email itself said it was 3 min 45 secs old. If stackdriver really is that slow to initialise, it should be pointed out, maybe telling the user to wait until the first success test appears. Then again I don't see how stackdriver can survive as a product if it really is this slow all the time so maybe I just got unlucky.
