I was very confused by 'Cloud Functions 2nd Gen' requirement and inability to create it via GCP Console. Took me few tries of creating it trough: Cloud Run -> "Services" side tab -> "Write a function" header tab to realize that is not true 2nd gen. (it seems it's deprecated in favor of Cloud Run services?). Maybe make additional warning note about that?
