While I was able to create a function that would create thumbnails, the 'check my progress' on task three kept failing without any indication of the problem. It also talked about 'gen 2 cloud functions' but that does not exist in the console. Very disappointing that I've wasted an hour on this. I tried a second time, and this time scripted the whole process and got it to work.
