there is the hint missing, that it needs to be gen2 cloud function. Oviously automatic chooses gen1 so it will not be validated. Please add this important advice to the instructions

This lab requires advanced understanding of settings and configurations that have not been introduced. The Lab environment broke and kept flagging the us-east1 bucket I created as using multiregion which prevented the Cloud Run function from being able to use it as a Cloud Storage trigger... All around a terrible lab
