this lab is broken. Unable to do anything past task 2

Not at all... there tutorial does not match the help screen as if they were updated at different times, the editor does not work and the terminal is problematic as it will not work half the time and freezes... such a simply lab has become a time drain with no end in site. Also, much is assumed for an into class and the instructions are not detailed. There should be much more accurate documentation that looks intructor like and not programmer like. First time I have commented on a course becasue it is just so bad I had to....
