right from the first task, the debian family instruction was a broken template string instead of giving the actual family. this might have been the cause for the check progress to fail over and over despite the correct instances created and curl commands all worked. i even tried debian-11, debian-12, debian-13 and all 3 versions failed. it's very frustrating wasting over an hour trying to get past grading issues from a poorly designed lab, rather than spending that time actually learning.
